“INFILTRÉES – 5 manières d’habiter le monde” is the second group show of the Reiffers Art Initiatives Prize 2023.
The exhibition brings together the works of five emerging artists from the contemporary scene. Entitled “Infiltrées – 5 manières d’habiter le monde”, it highlights the artistic process of these young talents and rewards the beginning of the career of one of them, who will receive the Prize in early June.

This new group show brings together 5 artists from all over the world: Meriem Bennani, Han Bing, Bianca Bondi, Binta Diaw et Ser Serpas. Invited to take over the Acacias Art Center - whose new architecture will be revealed on this occasion -, the artists infiltrate its space to display works that are almost entirely new. Artists who are not content to simply engage with the world, but who work just as hard to reconfigure it aesthetically and conceptually to propose other visions and other ways of making the world, together.
Like an active liquid with constantly shifting forms, their works penetrate the walls, floors, and heights of the place to inhabit it with the singular world relationship developed by each of them. For all of them have in common that they are confronted as closely as possible, as if by capillary action, with the present world.
Ser Serpas and Han Bing thus search the city's meanders for the visual objects and elements that constitute the raw material of their pieces. Sculptures and installations for the former, paintings for the latter, they form abstract poems that tell of our relationship to our environment and our ability to make it our own, to reassemble it as well as to sublimate it.
As for the immersive installations of Binta Diaw and Bianca Bondi, they work to contaminate space in order to sow a new imaginary that carries another relationship to the world and to nature. Binta Diaw invites us to reflect on the question of identity, feminism, migration, and belonging, while Bianca Bondi proposes new islands of fiction nourished by dreams, beliefs, and vernacular rituals. Past, present, and future intertwine to imagine, once again, another way of inhabiting the world.
