Gaëlle Choisne, young talent from the 2023 mentorship program
Born in 1985, Gaëlle Choisne is a French artist, a graduate of the Beaux-Arts de Lyon, who joined the prestigious Rijksakademie in Amsterdam in January 2017. In her installations, created at the crossroads of sculpture and photography, she evokes displacement, architecture, the organic, matter and waste. Designated by Lorna Simpson to form the Reiffers Art Initiatives “Mentor and Young Talent“ 2023 duo, Gaëlle Choisne will exhibit her work in an exhibition at the Acacias Art Center during Art Basel Paris. The artist was featured on the cover of Numéro Art 13.
In October 2024, Gaëlle Choisne was awarded the Marcel Duchamp Prize.
